Omar is a unique marketing leader that brings together a unique blend of four attributes to create a successful team: a balanced connection of art, science and technology, an ability to challenge conventional practices, a holistic approach that integrates disparate channels, and a mastery of storytelling across mediums.
As the SVP of Marketing at Market Traders Institute, Omar leverages his experience leading marketing organizations, driving the sales functions, defining channel strategies, and championing clients through account management. With extensive experience working with B2B and B2C enterprises, as well as small businesses and start-ups, he has had the opportunity to lead cross-functional teams, define strategic objectives and execute integrated marketing programs that launched new products and consistently exceed business targets. Prior to joining Market Traders Institute, Omar held several executive leadership roles spanning Marketing, Sales, and Operations at a variety of Chicago SaaS startups – Aprimo, Revenew, and SAVO. Additionally, Omar has held a variety of marketing management positions leading global teams at Nokia Networks, Motorola Solutions, and Lenovo’s Motorola Mobility in a variety of businesses – wireless networks, cable infrastructure and cellular handsets. Throughout Omar’s career he has identified, developed and executed marketing strategies by championing cross-functional teams and introducing paradigm changes. He has established many marketing firsts by innovate and re-develop brands with award winning thought leadership campaigns, by architecting repeatable and scalable strategies, and demonstrating measurable ROI.
Omar has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Calgary and an M.B.A. from National University in San Diego.
